Reading the other reviews, I see many have complained about slow service here. Perhaps this coffee shop increased their training of staff, but when my kid and I visited here, the line moved efficiently and we were served our drinks fairly quickly. At least as quickly as at any Starbucks. So perhaps we got lucky, or perhaps this place upped its game, but we've no complaints about service.

I had never heard about Aroma but when we first passed this place, my kid was SO excited, saying that this coffee shop originated in Israel (she just returned from a trip to Israel), and it was so wonderful that they "put Starbucks out of business in Israel". So we HAD to visit this place, as she really missed the coffee there.

After such a build-up from her, I just knew I'd be disappointed. But I wasn't. She was right. This place made delicious coffees! We ended up visiting a few times. And each time I commented that we should return for breakfast or lunch, as the menu looked wonderful (great variety of healthy fare, kinda Mediterranean in cuisine, with lots of salads and fresh vegetable options and hearty breads), but we were never around here at any meal time. Bummer. Next time!

Cute interior and cute and clean bathroom, too.

I wish this place had a warmer atmosphere, cozy, with more personality. Instead it feels like a cafeteria.  If I want to sit down for acoffee, I'll opt for Starbucks.

Watch out for the high sodium content in the salads.
    Update Aug 2019: still garbage.

So we were out and about on one of the year's first sunny days and on the hunt for a patio. Aroma happened to have a fairly nice-looking one and there happened to be a free table. Score!

    But not so much.

I went in to order and the guy in front of me had a literal list of items and it took a really, really long time to finish. But whatever, that's not the restaurant's fault.

It was finally my turn and I ordered the Philly Steak sandwich ("Steak grilled to order with sautéed red pepper and red onion, swiss cheese and our signature aroma sauce on your choice of freshly baked bread"), and was immediately asked if I wanted the half sandwich or the full sandwich. The menu didn't indicate any kind of choice like this, so I had to stammer for a second and finally said half, based on the assumption that the listed price was for the half and not the full. (I was right.)

Anyway, the waiting began. My dining companion had ordered a chilled coffee and it was ready right away. My name was called out and I acknowledged the person, but I didn't grab anything because I was still waiting for the food. A few minutes passed and a different person called out my name, and again I acknowledged it but didn't move because there still wasn't any food on the tray. I think that's when they finally realized what was going on.

Finally the food was ready, but was it worth the wait?

    Definitely not.

It's a pretty terrible sandwich. For one thing, the bread, though fresh, was so thick and dense that it was pretty much all I could taste. And it also squished all the food out the more I tried to eat the concoction, so that basically more than half of the components wound up on my plate before I was done.

And although it was very cheesy, there were no interesting or even noticeable flavors to be had here. The steak itself didn't fare much better, unfortunately.

The final straw was the fact that we only received one piece of chocolate even though I clearly ordered food for two.

    Aroma, you're a joke.

ALERT ALERT ... had coffee at Aroma with a friend. My wallet was stolen from inside my purse. Thieves took cash advance on credit cards. Filed police report. Shocked

    Super slow and disengaged!

I ordered a latte and there was only 1 person ahead of me - took them 5 minutes to just start my drink.

Their lack of energy shows on their face and work - could have walked to Starbucks and back... probably should have
